The first real rain in months did not dampen the spirits of students and alumni who celebrated Homecoming over the weekend.

More than 200 alumni joined students for events including the Black Student Union’s 55th reunion, an LGBTQ+ alumni reunion, 50 years of the sociology department, the  — and , and wins.

After building an 18-0 halftime lead during its Homecoming contest on Saturday, the Kenyon College football team survived a wild fourth quarter in which it scored a last-second touchdown to register a over the College of Wooster.

Karen Williams, a stand-up comic and gerontologist, delivered a keynote address to alumni returning to mark 55 years of the Black Student Union.

Professor of Classics Adam Serfass and classics majors Ellis Copley ’25 and Chiara Nevard ’25 led a one-hour walking tour featuring stops at Latin and Greek inscriptions around campus, including 黄瓜精品Church of the Holy Spirit, Ransom Hall and elsewhere. The project was funded through a Bicentennial Special Project Grant.

Founding alumni members Rocco Danese ’23, Delaney Gallagher ’23, James Loveland ’22 and Spencer Hirsch ’23 returned to help christen Flats, a new student-run bar below the Bookstore that opened this semester.
